Indian Group Study Exchange Team from D3180 visits Hazel Grove

We welcomed our lovely visitors from India at the end of their month in our District. We will not forget our days with Rtn Suresh, Aashritha, Priya, Ramya and Vinay. They are a group of young professional people from Karnataka in South West India. We collected them from the Windmill Inn near Jct 19 on the M6, before meeting up in Lyme Park to enjoy the Hall and Gardens. Saturday's social evening at Bramhall Lane Lawn Tennis Club was attended by over 80 guests who were treated to a wonderful concert delivered by musicians from the Royal Northern College, singing 'Music from the Shows'. In addition our Indian friends performed dances and spoke warmly about their stay in our Rotary District. On Sunday we visited the Peak District together, toured underground at 'Treak Cliff' Cavern and ate lunch at the Cheshire Cheese Inn in Hope. We were sad to say goodbye as the team left to go their different ways on Monday. Thank you to our home hosts who ensured that the visitors received excellent hospitality during their stay with us.
