Walthew House

President Mike Wood hands over a cheque for £2000 to Daniel Oliver of Walthew House making a total contribution over the past 6 months of £2600.

Walthew House is an independent local charity supporting people in Stockport who are blind, visually impaired, Deaf or hard of hearing or who have dual sensory loss. The charity is named after John Walthew, who founded the charity in 1882. Walthew House aims to provide equality of voluntary services for all people with a sensory loss in Stockport. Our groups, activities, and services cater specifically for the needs of each person that comes to us with a sight or hearing loss. The money donated by the Rotary Club will be used to help complete the refurbishment of their Resource Centre.
